An all-new batman trailer was unveiled on Saturday at DC FanDome, providing the best look yet at Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of the Dark Knight while also promising an even darker, grittier version of Gotham’s Caped Crusader than any other version of the character to have hit the big screen before.

Viewers got their first look at Paul Dano as the Riddler, as well as more of Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and an unrecognisable Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin).

The batman trailer is two minutes and forty-four seconds long, making it the longest peek of Matt Reeves’ The Batman that we’ve seen so yet.

This new batman trailer also confirms that the film will be released in theatres only on March 4, 2022. This implies that, unlike all other Warner Bros. pictures in 2021, the film will not be available to watch at home.

What does the Batman trailer tell us?

The batman trailer begins outside a diner on a dark and rainy night (after all, it is Gotham City), peering in at a figure seated at the counter. We observe Dano’s recognisable side profile, calmly watching while the building is surrounded and ultimately attacked by police.

The camera pans over the coffee he was stirring to reveal the Riddler’s characteristic question mark perfectly moulded in the drink — any barista would be proud of the artisan job.

The Bat Signal then appears in the Gotham sky. Pattinson’s narration plays over, and he says, “Fear is a tool, and when that light hits the sky, it’s not just a call, it’s a warning.”

As we have already seen in the first preview, Batman battles a gang of clown-faced thugs.

This time, he uses an electro grip to vanquish his opponents. His Batsuit is also bulletproof, as seen again in the batman trailer.

The plot appears to be setting up Riddler as “the match” to spark Gotham’s “powder keg” via further voiceover.

The next image shows Bruce Wayne going around what appears to be a crime scene put up by the Riddler.

He paces in the centre of the floor, surrounded by images and writing in a circle. “No More Lies Colson,” “The Sins of My Father??” “Mitchell,” “Savage,” and “Renewal Is A Lie” are the phrases that surround Wayne at this time.

The action starts up from here, as we see Batman in full battle gear, fighting a plethora of opponents.

He runs into Penguin, who yells at him with a thick New York accent, “Woah, take it easy, baby.” Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon also make brief appearances in the trailer.

In a hallway, a dramatic battle scenario is previewed as bullets fired at Batman create a strobe lighting effect. As many bullets bounce off of him, Batman does not flinch.

Batman pays a visit to Arkham City Hospital, where he encounters a mystery patient. We may see someone wearing spectacles in a mirror, which could be the Riddler, as shown in the opening scene.

Before Selena Kyle, nicknamed Catwoman, appears from a car, there are flashes of an explosion and a broody Bruce Wayne.

We get a better look at Kravitz in this scene as she draws near to Bruce Wayne and shows off her fighting skills during a confrontation with someone else.

New Batman Cast

Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck are just a few of the actors who have donned the cowl to play the character of Batman over the years.

No other than Robert Pattinson will play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Matt Reeves-directed film, which will suppose to be released in theatres on December 20th.

What is the plot of the movie “The Batman”?

We have no idea how involved any of the named villains in The Batman are due to our lack of knowledge about the plot.

The official Warner Bros. internet page for the film contains no narrative details, while the Batman IMDb page merely states that “the plot is unknown.”

The only information we have about the film at the moment comes from the film’s initial trailer, which debuted a year ago.

It features The Riddler leaving many notes for Batman, establishing him as an early favourite for the major villain role, but it also features a battle scene between Batman and Catwoman. However, we may soon receive additional details about The Batman.

The Batman movie posters

A pair of new The Batman posters debuted ahead of Fandome, revealing a large tease of the new Riddler suit. Take note of the spooky ‘?’ design. Previously, director Matt Reeves debuted The Batman’s logo/title treatment as well as its first poster, which is a magnificent piece by famous artist Jim Lee, on Twitter.

The batman release date

The Batman, like nearly every other film released in the last 19 months, has had to reschedule its release date several times due to pandemic-related concerns, including having to halt production when Robert Pattison tested positive for COVID-19.

The release date of Batman has been pushed back to March 4, 2022, from October 20, 2021.

In case you were wondering, despite the fact that The Batman is a Warner Bros. film and the studio made news by releasing all of its 2021 films simultaneously in cinemas and on its HBO Max streaming service, The Batman will not receive the same treatment. Beginning in 2022, Warner Bros. has pledged to returning to exclusive theatrical windowing for its films.
