The Windows 11 PC Health Check app from Microsoft is now available to all users. Here’s how to use it to see if your PC is compatible with Windows 11.
Microsoft plans to begin rolling out the Windows 11 update to eligible PCs in phases on October 5.
The business has relaunched its famous Windows 11 PC Health Check app ahead of the anticipated date. The application is a quick way to see if your PC will be able to run Windows 11 when it is released.
Back in June of the year 2021, Microsoft released the PC Health Check app alongside Windows 11. However, it was withdrawn as disputes about supported systems arose. Microsoft then updated its list of supported CPUs, and the PC Health Check programme was reintroduced.
The tool, however, was only available to people who were engaged in the Windows Insider programme. The tool is now available for download by anyone.
Windows 11 requires a precise set of characteristics, including TPM requirements, to run on a PC, which you can learn more about here. However, if you don’t want to bother with the specifications, here’s how to utilise the tool without them.
How to Check Whether You Can Run Windows 11
Step 1: Go to (https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp) and download the PC Health Check app.
Step 2: Double-click the downloaded installation file and follow the on-screen directions. It may take up to a minute to install the tool on your computer.
Step 3: When the tool has finished installing, open it. You should notice a ‘Check now’ button at the top of the page, along with a description of your PC requirements. Simply click on it.
The tool should now display a message in a box indicating whether or not Windows 11 can be run on your PC. If your PC is not capable of operating Windows 11, the utility will notify you of the issues.
